On 25th March 2025, the much-awaited Blessing Ceremony of Mar Makil Bhavan took place at Mananthavady with great reverence and solemnity. The event began at 4:00 PM with the Blessing of Mar Makil Bhavan followed by the Holy Qurbana, presided over by His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakkatt. The gathering was blessed with prayers as the new facility was consecrated, marking a significant milestone for the congregation. Mar Makil Bhavan is a new initiative that includes the Mar Makil Visitation Convent, the Jeeva Counseling Center, and Studio Apartments designed to support both the spiritual and social needs of the region. The establishment of these facilities is expected to provide a nurturing environment for the community, with the counseling center focusing on emotional and psychological well-being, while the studio apartments will offer accommodation to those in need. Following the blessing, the program continued with a public meeting that began at 5:30 PM. The meeting was opened with a warm welcome by Sr. Sinsy SVM, Regional Superior, who expressed her gratitude to everyone for their presence and support in making the event a success. The Presidential Address was delivered by Rev. Sr. Immaculate SVM, the Superior General of the Visitation Congregation. She highlighted the significance of Mar Makil Bhavan as a place of spiritual renewal, healing, and community support, underscoring the importance of such spaces in fostering faith and unity. A key highlight of the event was the inauguration of the Jeeva Counseling Center by His Excellency Mar Jose Porunnedom, the Bishop of the Mananthavady Diocese. The counseling center is designed to provide emotional and psychological support to individuals, helping to address the mental health needs of the community. In a special gesture of gratitude, His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakkatt distributed mementos to the builders and those who contributed to the construction of Mar Makil Bhavan, acknowledging their hard work and dedication to the project. Rev. Fr. Stephen Cheekkaparayil, felicitated the occasion with his words of appreciation and encouragement for the new initiative. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rev. Sr. Kochurani SVM, Assistant Superior General, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to all the dignitaries, guests, and supporters for their presence and contribution to the success of the event.
